Do I Need a Low-Flush Toilet?

Once upon a time, few of us put much thought into what kind of toilet we bought — primarily because we used to have very few choices!

Today, we're faced with several options. Deciding which kind of throne to purchase can be a tough decision — one that can have a big impact on your wallet.

One of the best decisions you can make when replacing your old toilets is switching to modern, low-flush toilets.

Less Water = More Money

Low-flow toilets use much less water than regular toilets.

Many older toilets use more than three gallons per flush, and some of the very old models use over seven gallons!

If your toilets haven’t been replaced since the turn of the millennium, there’s a very strong chance that you’re wasting money by paying for unnecessary water – every time you flush!

Current federal regulations call for the amount of water used per flush to be 1.6 gallons or less in newer models. Some high-efficiency low-flow toilets use even less than that!

Less Maintenance

If you have a septic system, a low-flush toilet means a lesser volume of fluids introduced into your system each time you flush.

Less liquid can mean less stress on your system, leading to lower maintenance costs for the consumer.

(And we all know how much sewer repairs and replacement can cost, compared to simply upgrading a few toilets.)

Low-flush toilets are much friendlier for the environment than older toilets.

As it becomes increasingly clear that water is a resource that needs to be conserved as much as possible, low-flush toilets have become a valuable tool in reducing unnecessary waste of water.

While buying a low-flush toilet may not solve all of your problems, it’s an easy way to not only save money, but reduce your environmental impact.

If your toilets are more than a decade old, or you can’t remember the last time they’ve been replaced, consider investing in new, low-flush models to modernize your bathroom and lighten the load on your wallet!
