Bounce the Lighting One of the simplest ways to make a room seem brighter is to hang mirrors on the wall instead of the traditional paintings. This will reflect the light that is currently in the room to make it appear brighter (and bigger) than it actually is. You can also consider adding furniture and other decor that has reflective surfaces to further intensify the light.
Brighter Lights Don’t go to the store to purchase more lamps and lighting; purchase light bulbs with higher lumens. As long as the light fixture can handle the new, brighter light bulb, your room can become lighter without replacing any of the fixtures.
