How to Hide Messy Television Wires
In most entertainment and living rooms, the television is often the centerpiece. Many are mounted on the wall with couches, recliners, and furniture set up surrounding it. If the television is the center of the room, why would you want to display it with messy wires dangling from the unit to the floor?
To complete this project you will need a drill, plastic tubing, electrical cords and outlets. For your convenience you can purchase a wall and power cable kit.
Step 1: Install the wall mount for the television in the desired spot.
Step 2: A few inches below the bottom of the wall mount, drill a circular hole that is a few inches in diameter. There is a pre-set drill bit available for a perfect circular hole. Drill a second hole towards the floor, preferably behind the entertainment console so you can plug the cables into the cable box, dvd player, etc.
Step 3: Grab the tube and cord combo and feed it into the top hole. Have another person wait towards the bottom so they can pull the tube out from the other side.
Step 4: Screw the outlet piece of the tube into the hole you created. Do this for both the top and bottom holes.
Step 5: Feed all of the cables from the top hole to the bottom. Proceed to place the TV onto the wall and connect all of the cables.
Step 6: The television should be plugged into the outlet in the top hole and all other wires should be ran through, leading to the entertainment console.
